Sachet Logging
Sachet logging involves the logging of sachets under the binocular stereo microscope. The information gathered includes mineral identification and estimation of the percentage of the heavy minerals present. This study requires a modal analysis of several key samples to be chosen from the ore and its variation on different holes to set a guide for the estimations.

Modal Analysis
Modal Analysis defines the minerals present in the sample and measures their abundance in weight percentage.
We offer two types of modal analysis:

The analysis consists of mineralogical identification and point counting using a combination of the Reflected & Polarising Light Microscope and point counter. If further study is required on an unusual mineral present, a SEM/EDS can be performed. |

Magnetic separation
Diamantina Laboratories has a Rapid Magnetic Separator used to either support modal analysis or to magnetically separate heavy mineral samples for industry.
